A few weeks ago, I realized I was not maximizing my PTO days. I was carrying too many over at the end of each year and I was using them throughout the year to run errands (not a relaxing activity)! Work and life got busy and I decided I needed to be more intentional about planning my PTO for adventures I was excited about!

First and foremost, planning ahead is key. I try to sync my travel plans with my company's calendar and identify any blackout dates or busy periods. 4Q is always a super busy period at work so I am always ready for a break come Christmas holiday!
This Christmas break we headed to Park City, UT and we made SO MANY great memories.
"It takes money to make memories" my Godmother once told me and she was not wrong, especially when taking a family skiing!
We flew into SLC on Christmas Day and stayed at a beautifully appointed Airbnb at the base of PC Mountain. We would absolutely stay here again - perfect location and size.
For 6 full days, we skiied our hearts out. In lift lines by 8:45 and on the mountain each day until 4 pm. Dream come true!
Michael was tacking the challenging blue runs and moguls. Luke and Mark were fearless and embraced the challenges of blue runs. I had a hard time keeping up with them, as their skills improved quickly.
We all found a rhythm in a few blue runs (Mid-Mountain/Jonesy) to Mid-Mountain Lodge for lunch for a few days. Mid-Mountain was our favorite as it was less crowded than the other lodges at lunch time.
We learned that 4 full days of skiing would be the perfect amount for us and we can't wait to go back again! Park City Mountain and The Canyons were really fun but we are looking forward to exploring other areas too!
